Journal Information

About The Journal

(Bali Med. J.) is published by Intisari Sains Medis (Indonesia) with the help of DiscoverySys-Canada. It's an open-access, peer-reviewed, international journal aiming to communicate high-quality research articles and reviews related to medical and healthcare development.

Bali Med. J. publishes articles encompassing all aspects of basic research and clinical studies related to professional healthcare providers. All published articles need to be from the 34 medicine departments (see list) and primarily related to hospital-based research/projects. Nonrelated topics and non-hospital-based research will be automatically rejected.

The journal also accepts innovation reports in medical and healthcare development, survey articles, practical guidelines, animal models (strictly for drug testing), and empirical and traditional medicine.

BaliMedJ also aims to bridge and integrate medical scholarship's intellectual, translational medicine, methodological, and substantive diversity and encourage a vigorous dialogue between medical scholars and practitioners. The Journal welcomes contributions that promote the exchange of ideas and rational discourse between practicing educators and medical researchers worldwide.

Publication Frequency

(Bali Med. J.) is published three times per year: April, August, and December (month)

Bali Medical Journal History
In the early years, Bali Medical Journal was published online and printed by Udayana University in collaboration with Sanglah General Hospital (Now known as Prof Ngoerah Hospital) along with the Indonesian Physician Forum and the Indonesian College of Surgeons, Bali-Indonesia, 2012-2014. Due to the lack of support including proper basic website hosting from Udayana University, Since 2015 Bali Medical Journal decided to independently continue developing its own website and journal management, following the rules of ARJUNA (Indonesian Journal Accreditation Standards) and Asean Citation Index. It was nationally accredited in 2016 and rewarded the highest-rated journal in Indonesia since 2020 (SINTA 1) ( Today, we still maintain our relationship with Sanglah Hospital (Now known as Prof Ngoerah Hospital) since their hospital based research and study in medicine and healthcare development are our journal aims and scope foundation.
