Introduction: Hyperbaric oxygen therapy causes ear pain as a side effect, causing anxiety in patients which results in the length of recovery. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the level of anxiety of patients undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Method: This study used a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling with a total sample of 26 respondents. The independent variables in this study were age, gender, education, information, income/income, and experience, and the dependent variable measured anxiety levels. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The data were tested using the Logistics Regression Test.

Results: The results of the Logistics Regression Test showed that the factors of gender (p-value = 0.001), information (p-value = 0.005), and experience (p-value = 0.000) affected the anxiety of patients undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy, while the age factor (p-value = 0.924) and education (p-value) =0.201), did not affect the anxiety of patients undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy.anxiety

Conclusion: Economic factors cannot be analyzed in this study because all respondents have incomes above or equal to the regional-standard wage. The dominant factor influencing anxiety is experience. Officers are expected to always apply therapeutic communication by providing explanations about hyperbaric oxygen therapy that will be given to reduce patient anxiety.
